Tomas has been running Eventival since its establishment in 2009. Prior to that, he co-founded DataKal (the creator of the world's first globally used festival software), the EuroConnections music series, MOFFOM, (2004-2009), an international festival of music films, and the Film Festival Academy. He spent several years working with Ron and Russell Mael of Sparks on their feature musical The Seduction of Ingmar Bergman, and was Executive Producer of the documentary film Never Turn Your Back on Sparks (2014). Tomas studied law in Prague, cultural anthropology in Amsterdam, taught English in Bangkok, and translated the books Our Global Governance by the Commission on Global Governance and Stigna by Erving Goffman from English to Czech.
