IFF Panama: Connections for a growing industry

Since its creation nine years ago in 2012, the International Film Festival of Panama (IFF Panama) has grown side by side with the film industry of its region, spearheading a movement to transform and explore cinema in Central America and the Caribbean.

Every year the festival’s numbers have continued to grow, in an exciting event surrounded by inspiring stories and films from a fast-evolving industry. Panama’s openness to invest in film, together its diverse audience, have been key elements to establish IFF as a solid platform to promote cinema regionally, with more films taking part of its official selection every year, and more prominent directors, producers, and actors aligning their schedules to come down and enjoy the week-long festivities.

The Festival will take place from March 26th to April 1st, 2020.  Filmmakers of the world, our call for submissions is now open! Your entries will be received until January 5th.

IFF Panama's Industry Program connects the experience of members of both the local and international industries to create new possibilities for production, marketing and distribution.

The Industry program combines educational and training activities through workshops, lectures and master classes, which are also open to students and to the general audience.
