Communications Manager / Festival Expert
Before joining Eventival, Dominika spent 10+ years working with various international festivals and cultural institutions, handling different responsibilities from event production and programming to communication.
Originally from Poland, she started her professional career by providing guest services for film and theatre festivals, such as New Horizons IFF, American FF, International Theater Festival DIALOG, or European Film Awards, among others. As of 2010, she ran the International Festival for Historical Dance and Culture PAVANE as the head producer. In 2013 she joined the office of the European Capital of Culture Wroclaw 2016 as an executive assistant to the film program curator, providing administrative support to over 40 projects from local to international level, including the flagship initiative: New Horizons Cinema, the largest art-house film theater in Europe. In 2017 she relocated to Portugal, where she worked at FEST — New Directors | New Films Festival, being responsible for developing industry events, building the academic network and managing international communication and partnerships.
She studied International Economic Relations at Wroclaw University of Economics and Business, and Inter-Faculty Individual Studies in the Humanities at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun. Passionate about film more than anything else, she also enjoys photography, slow travelling and plant-based cuisine. Currently living in and working from Lisbon.
