SAAS means is that an application is licensed for use as a service provided to a client on demand, for a fixed amount and a fixed period of time. On the client's side, this eliminates the burden of obtaining additional hardware and software, downloading patches and upgrades (since an update affects everyone at the same time), and the need for in-house English-speaking IT support. The fact that users around the world see the same interface, read the same User Manual, follow the same business rules, and use the same functions in the same way improves the versatility and user-friendliness of the system, because it guarantees that releases of new features are prompted by the shared interests of a user community working in the same industry and facing the same issues. It also makes it easier for festivals to hire people who worked with the system elsewhere and, conversely, provides employment opportunities for people with festival experience.
